Jo King or “Yoga Jo” as we all know her, has been teaching Yoga at the Granary Nursery School for the past 4 years. She is British Wheel of Yoga trained and specialises in teaching children.
Jo maintains that Yoga is great for our children – it helps nurture children’s body, mind and spirit.
Regular Yoga practice can improve:
- Physical strength, stamina and co-ordination
- Good posture and balance
It can also have the following benefits:
- Increase self esteem
- Help children to breathe well
- Enable children to discover stillness and an inner peace
The children in Butterfly Class at the Granary Nursery School enjoy a fortnightly yoga session. They respond really well to Jo’s Yoga techniques and thoroughly enjoy the sessions.
