Chocolate Crunch Recipe

Makes 9


8 oz plain flour

8 oz self raising flour

6 oz caster sugar

8 oz margarine (melted)

1 egg (beaten)

1 oz cocoa

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/ Preheat the oven to 150 C. Grease a deep 9-inch square cake tin and line the base with baking paper.

2/ In a large bowl mix the flour, sugar and cocoa.

3/ Add the melted margarine and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and beat in the egg.

4/ Press the mixture, evenly into tin.

5/ Brush the top with water and sprinkle with some additional sugar.

6/ Oven bake for 30 minutes or longer for a crunchier crunch.
